In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. -Albert Schweitzer, philosopher, physician, musician, Nobel laureate (1875-1965)
It’s true, isn’t it? Often we find our spirit dragging around like a deflated shadow, where energy is low and motivation is in the mud puddle. Then, we encounter a person and conversation that energizes us, motivates and, as much I find this word odd but applicable here, incentivizes us. I often find conversations with writers and readers stimulate my mind and my thinking and yes, my work. So thanks to all of you who have time to walk and talk, drink a cup of coffee and chat, read my work and review it with me and just plain converse with me on the human level. I’m grateful for the time and mental “flame” we share.
