Great Fun at Macdonald Book Shop

On Saturday, October 20th, I was the Visiting Author at Macdonald Book Shop in downtown Estes Park, CO.  Paula Steiner’s grandparents opened the shop 90 years ago.  When her grandfather died, her grandmother sold books, tobacco and newspapers – a single mom, working to take care of her family.  The shop has been in Paula’s family and in continuous operation for all these years.  So it was a thrill and an honor to see my novel in the window, savor the poster they had created and meet so many visitors.

The shop was crowded and I loved chatting with each visitor.  So many are writers – a journal, some poetry, book reviews, a few short stories and personal essays.  If you were there, please leave a comment here.  And I’d love to hear your thoughts on my novel – and any other topic!
